Description

What are the benefits to practice?

These workshops present an opportunity for Year 6 teachers, from schools who are not being externally moderated, to come together to share:

  • the wonderful writing their Y6 pupils have created over the year;

  • the stimuli that have motivated pupils and provoked great creativity;

  • and, moderate their judgments.

Sarah Carpenter, Senior Education Adviser at BDSIP, will give a short introduction and provide some contextual information and links to key resources. After that, there will be time to share pupils' work with teachers from other schools and compare judgements.

Please bring pupils' books (clearly labelled with your school name) that are representative of groups within your class, i.e. bring pupils who are similar to other groups of pupils in your class. For example:

  • securely EXS

  • securely GDS

  • on the 'cusp' (between WTS and EXS and/or EXS/GDS)

  • low WTS/query too low for WTS

Multiple dates and venues are available. Please only book yourself onto one workshop.

  • Schools will no longer receive a refund for places cancelled within 5 working days of the session.

  • Schools will receive a 50% refund for places cancelled within 10 working days of the session.
